Print Service FAQ

Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about »printing« at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.

Q: My Thoska card is not recognised at the »MFG«, what can I do?

Have you recently received a new »thoska«, e.g. due to loss?
In this case, we need to check your information. Please make an appointment via the SCC user service and bring your »thoska« with you to the appointment!

Q: Help, my USB stick is not being recognised!

Only »FAT32« USB sticks are supported. It often happens that a USB stick supports the wrong file system for certain devices. Therefore, pay attention to the file system and reformat the USB stick if necessary.

Additionally, problems may occur if the USB stick is larger than 64GB or the folder structure has more than four subfolders. Please check this!

Q: I need a cost overview of my previous transactions/prints, how can I get it?

You can view and create an overview of transactions, etc. independently in the »aQrate« web interface.
The report »Session Details« contains the most information, as all personal processes are stored here by default.
Information on how to create and configure your own reports can be found here.

Special information (for employees only)

Group contingents on coloured pages

Employees of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar are arranged in groups and are billed via these groups. A colour page group contingent of 10,000 pages/quarter is stored, which is shared by all persons in the group. The counter of the contingent is reset at the beginning of each quarter. When the contingent is reached, the machines block the output of colour pages for the respective group. At this point, only documents in black and white can be picked up.

If the colour contingent for your area is not sufficient in this quarter, please contact the SCC hotline.

Assignment to the payroll groups

In the accounting system, we lack the possibilities of a multiple assignment of the user accounting contexts. This results in problems that we would like to point out at this point. As an example: Students flow into the system as self-payers, employees with their primary group assignment.
