The catalogue covers all the services provided by the SCC. The services are grouped into categories for better clarity and easier allocation.

It provides information on the features and modalities of use (user groups, application). In addition, further information and assistance (e.g. instructions) will be added in succession.

Service: Plagiarism Detection (StrikePlagiarism)

Description

A SaaS volume license for the plagiarism detection software »StrikePlagiarism« was procured for Thuringia’s universities at the end of 2025. This cloud-based service enables automated checks for text similarities in academic papers. It supports faculty and students in checking academic papers for text similarities and promotes academic integrity.

The service includes provision of the application, user management via the SCC, as well as maintenance and support.

Operated as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). Technical support available 24/7 via email and WhatsApp; customer support available during business hours via email and phone

Application scenarios

Checking theses, term papers, and other academic papers for text similarities; generating similarity reports; managing reference documents.

Application and access

Access is provided through the SCC: To request access, send a Request to the SCC Service Desk.

Instructions for use and configuration

The solution is web-based and requires only an internet connection. The SCC manages users and roles.

Content life cycle

Submitted documents can be stored in a reference database. Management and deletion are handled in accordance with assigned roles and permissions, as well as the guidelines of the respective university.

Training for administrators and users, manuals, and online documentation, as well as technical support via email, phone, WhatsApp, and the help desk.
