*Writing Skills and Scientific English: Skills Set Listening will be offered as an email module with 2 - 3 meetings during the semester. The first meeting is on 3 November 2017 at 9.15 am (Listening Skills) and 11 am (Writing Skills).
** Presentations will be offered as a block module. Dates and times will be arranged in cooperation with the participants. The first meeting is on 3 November 2017 at 1.30 pm.

3 steps to register for a course:

1. Placement test

Students who wish to skip the beginner course are required to take a language assessment test (placement test). The results of the test are valid for two years. Those, who wish to skip ahead to a more advanced level without taking the courses in succession, are also required to take a placement test.

See the grey info box on the right for the upcoming placement test dates.

2. Registration

Students register for courses online. The registration period is indicated in the grey info box on the right. During this period, go to the course schedule table and click on the course in which you wish to enroll; this will take you to the registration form.

3. Payment of course fee

The registration process is completed with payment of the course fee. The dates during which you need to come to the language centre to pay the course fee are indicated in the grey info box on the right.

The course fees are based on credits points, i.e. € 10 per credit point. A course with two credit points, for example, would cost € 20 and one worth three credit points would cost € 30. The fee is reimbursed to you at the end of the semester if these credit points count toward your degree Programme (cf. Fee Reimbursment). University employees are charged 15 euros per credit point.

The course fees may only be paid by Thoska card.

Guest students
Guest students are charged € 20 per credit point, e.g. € 60 for a course worth 3 CP. Guests may only attend courses if there are free spaces available. Therefore, guests may only register between 4.30 pm and 5 pm on the second day of the payment period. The dates of the payment period are indicated in the grey info box on the right.
