Ad-hoc group to combat racism in higher education and society

Ad-hoc group to combat racism in higher education and society

The group consists of professors, members of staff, doctoral candidates and students of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. It was spontaneously created in 2018 when the results of the 2018 Thüringen Monitor were published.

This study is commissioned every year by the Thuringian State Chancellery and sheds light on political opinions in the federal state. The study showed a prevalence of extreme right-wing leanings, as well as negative attitudes towards asylum-seeking, immigration and diversity in Thuringia.

The ad-hoc group organises public events such as panel discussions and rallies to examine racism in higher education and society.

The »public commitment to an open society« grew out of this group.
You can sign the »public commitment to an open society« here.

The ad-hoc group generally meets online on the first Friday of every month at 9:30 am

Everyone interested is welcome to join.
