Call for Application for Translation and Proofreading Services

We are sorry, but this is not possible at present.

Who is funded?
11. I am an external doctoral candidate not living in Germany. May I still apply for the funding of translation or proofreading services ?
Yes, you may, if your doctoral project at Bauhaus University has been accepted by the graduation commission of your Faculty.
Choosing the translation/proofreading service
12. Who chooses the translation/proofreading service?
Being the funded person, you are yourself in charge of choosing the services provider. The online database of the Bundesverband der Übersetzer und Dolmetscher e. V. (Federal Association of Translators and Interpreters) (http://suche.bdue.de) may be helpful for your search. It provides the contact data of more than 7,500 qualified interpreters and translators in Germany.

You can apply for different publications during the current year. The allocation depends on the availability of the funding and applications of doctoral candidates who were not funded during the current calendar year are preferred.
14. Until when must the application be submitted at the latest?
until 15 November of the current year.
Payment

Payment happens after having presented the original invoice to the Bauhaus Research School as well as the proof of submission of the publication. This may be done via e-mail to ipid@uni-weimar.de.
16. Who will be paid the grant?
The grant is paid to the funded person and not to the translation or proofreading service.
17. My expenses have been higher than the funding. Will I be paid more?
No, you will not. You will only be paid the maximum grants as being specified in the funding commitment.
18.What must be included in the invoice?
