An update of the Thuringian Higher Education Act of May 2018 recognises doctoral candidates as members of the universities, so that we are now entitled and justified to represent our higher education policy interests in an appropriate and organised manner to the university bodies and committees.
In March 2020 the first statutes of the doctoral council of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar were adopted, the first election needed to be postponed to March 2021, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It is time for networking and above all to implement the changes brought about by the amendment to the Thuringian Higher Education Act of May 2018. So doctoral candidates now have more say and should make use of it! Therefore, we would like to invite all doctoral candidates of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar to discuss and tackle the upcoming tasks and the goals that still have to be achieved.
The election for the first »Pro.Doc« doctoral council took place online from 03-08 March 2021: election result
Speaker: Marcel Helmrich (Faculty of Civil Engineering)
Deputy: Viola Ahrensfeld (Faculty of Art and Design)
