For the first time, an exhibition will especially focus on the doctorate at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. The Ph.D. exhibition »[dis]solving boundaries« is organized by doctoral candidates as well as Post-Docs from various disciplines in collaboration with the Bauhaus Research School, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Ph.D. programme Art and Design/Fine Art/Media Art and the Bauhaus Research School. The exhibition will provide a diversified insight into the variety of doctoral projects in all disciplines at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
The Ph.D. exhibition is embedded in the Young Bauhaus Research Conference 2018»[dis]solving boundaries«and in a »Research Walk« that makes special domains of young researchers, artists, and designers accessible to the public at various locations. It is planned to present the contributions later in an online gallery and in the jubilee publication of the Bauhaus Research School.
Ph.D. projects (e. g. poster, book, video/film, installations) by current and former doctoral candidates of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar can be presented in the exhibition as well as the Research Walk to show their connections to borders, boundaries and limits.
Submissions from all faculties are welcome and participants are invited to go beyond the classical exhibition format: The Ph.D. projects are to be made tangible with all of the senses and there are (almost) no limits to creativity.
Dates and Locations
The exhibition and the Research Walk are part of a series of events with the title »[dis]solving boundaries« on the occasion of the jubilee of the Bauhaus Research School.
