Organisation and Statute
The Bauhaus Research School was founded as an umbrella organization for the doctoral programs at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and supports the various paths and cultures of a doctorate at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. As a university and art school, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar attempts to cross borders between research cultures in engineering, the humanities and art & design.
Main Tasks
- support for the application and implementation of structured Ph.D. programmes
- provision of supportive research conditions for doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers (interdisciplinary programme of courses, service, especially for international doctoral candidates, support for interdisciplinary exchange, targeted support for female Ph.D. candidates and postdoctoral researchers)
- support for the process of quality assurance of doctoral research
- support for fund raising activities for scholarships and external funding
The Directorate
The Directorate decides all fundamental matters of the Bauhaus Research School. It consists of the director, the deputy director, spokespersons for the doctoral programmes and doctoral and post-doctoral student representatives. The members of the Directorate.
