Project description
The development of creative goods is regarded as a separate sector of the economy and is considered to be a driver of innovation for other sectors. Creative industries such as the press, publishing, the software and computer games industry, advertising, architecture, design and artistic crafts are to be promoted with various programmes. Large cities have the necessary infrastructural conditions for such projects. They provide a breeding ground for visibility, understanding of the industry, networking, free space and acceptance.
The concept »Open Space« supports and accelerates this development. The Raiffeisen warehouses in Erfurt, are centrally located in the suburb of Krämpfervorstadt. It is easy to reach on foot or by bus and is located in close proximity to Erfurt Central Station.
Creative work places diverse demands on spatial conditions. The Raiffeisen warehouses, with its large range of rooms meets these varying requirements. The offer of rooms ranges from large offices ideal for Co-working Spaces to small individual offices. In addition, workshops provide the necessary environment to realise innovative ideas and challenging tasks.
The spacious exhibition area provides users with a forum to present themselves to the public. The bistro creates a central place of identity offering acceptance in and dialogue within the neighbourhood.
