Take a walk with lanterns like the »Bauhäusler« did for their annual lantern festival past the former homes and studios of the masters, through the nightly Ilm Park to the Haus Am Horn and listen to some stories and anecdotes from the beginnings of the Bauhaus in Weimar.
Since November 2018, the student guides of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar in cooperation with the Tourist Information Weimar again guide through the nightly Weimar.
The Lantern Walk starts at the Theaterplatz. From there it goes to the former houses of Gropius and Schlemmer, past the main building of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar to the Tempelherrenhaus, through the Park an der Ilm to the Haus Am Horn, further to Klees, Ittens and Moholy-Nagy's apartments. At the Sternbrücke, the guides dismiss their guests into the night.
