Die Veranstaltung ist ein offizielles Side-Event des Festivals des Neuen Europäischen Bauhauses, einer Initiative der Europäischen Union für einen nachhaltigen, inklusiven und ästhetischen Wandel. Die Bauhaus-Universität Weimar ist Partnerorganisation der EU Initiative und möchte mit dem abwechslungsreichen Programm des Ideenlabors 2022 einen Beitrag zu einer lebenswerteren Zukunft leisten.
Das Programm der Veranstaltung zoomt von grenzüberschreitenden, europäischen Projekten hinein zu regionalen und lokalen Initiativen. So rücken die Veränderungen ganz nah: Wie können alte Bauwerke erhalten und ertüchtigt werden, damit sie das Klima schonen? Was braucht es für lebenswerte Quartiere? Dabei treffen Impulsgeber:innen für eine nachhaltige Transformation aus der Universität und Weimar auf Expert:innen wie den Mitgründer von Scientists for Future und Akademischen Direktor am Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, Dr. Gregor Hagedorn, oder die Präsidentin des Bundes deutscher Architektinnen und Architekten, Susanne Wartzeck. In der Stadt werden gemeinsam mit der Klassik Stiftung Weimar Workshops angeboten. Was daraus entsteht? Wir sind gespannt.

The event is an official side-event of the Festival of the New European Bauhaus, an initiative by the EuropeanUnion for a sustainable, inclusive and beautiful transformation. The Bauhaus-Universität is an official partner institution of the EU initiative, the appealing programme of the Ideenlabor 2022 is our contribution to a more livable future.
We will be taking a look at transnational, European projects as well as regional and local initiatives. Transformations become tangible: how can heritage buildings be preserved and yet be made more sustainable? How do we create livable neighbourhoods? Experts of the university and Weimar will be in dialogue with renowned practitioners like cofounder of Germany’s Scientists for Future, Dr. Gregor Hagedorn, and the president of the German Federation of Architects, Susanne Wartzeck. Together with our project partner, the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, we are offering workshops in the town itself. We are excited to see what unfolds.
