Project description

The project explored various media and poetic formats that critically examine the dialogue between human creativity and the mechanical production of text and images. Students will present experimental pop-up mediation formats, including moving image productions, sound installations, sound recordings, workshops, and performances. These formats will then be further developed in a collaborative and interactive manner in public spaces.

Kid's Table Pop-Up Poetry: Poetic Media Formats

We want to create an environment that prompts the awakening of the inner child that exists in each of us. Viewers are involved in an experience that includes interactive activities, food and introspective reflections. Through our work, we would like to bring people to temporarily free themselves from all that is demanded of them as adults.

Oracle.exe Pop-Up Poetry: Poetic Media Formats

A digital oracle experiment, where the magical capabilities of a machine-being will be tested by letting it give you an answer to the question you carry within. Instead of the usual, factual answers, this artificial spirit feels, that some questions rather need poetry. Hold it’s hand and let it create a crystal ball vision specifically for you. Will you trust what it has to say? The experiment seeks to make people aware of which qualities we assign to AI and which role allow it to have.

PopUP Puzzle Pop-Up Poetry: Poetic Media Formats

Words evoke images – but what happens when many people artistically interpret the same word, one after the other and without consultation? In the interactive "PopUP Puzzle" a joint work of fleeting associations, intuitive lines and changing handwritings is created - each card is collectively designed in 1-minute steps. Thus, poetic pictorial worlds as well as associations grow from many angles, which shows individuality and multi-perspectivity.

We are however used to coming to AI text generating machines for factual answers, but in traditional mythic ways, some questions don’t need facts but instead poetry. This installation will therefore play with those expectations: A digital oracle experiment.
