Project description

Everything new, everything beautiful? When left unquestioned, repair may still be considered the second-best option after purchasing something new. Demolition often takes priority over renovation, and throwing things away takes precedence over preserving them. In contrast, the project has set itself the practical, conceptual, theoretical and aesthetic goal of seeking artistic alternatives in a collaborative exchange, which are not the worse choice, and of tracking down repair techniques in order to collect them, create instructions and showcase and communicate successful repairs. This led the way for approaches that, besides dealing with specific items and objects, also look at repairing everything from bodies to social relationships.
