Project description
Here: Made in Germany - that used to be a promise. A seal of quality. A myth. Today: An exhibit.
Germany, the industrialized nation in its final stages.
“Comparable tensions due to inappropriate content usually relate to the respective enforcers who feel called upon to control the draft laws concerned in the service of the general public. ”1
An ageing society, a rusting machine park. A country that exhibits itself because no one else wants it anymore.
A place full of museum artifacts: Freeways, car brands, bratwursts, fraternities, federal eagles. A country that preserves itself like sauerkraut in a jar.
"Unchecked, the inhabitants of our country, the FRG, pull off their flesh instruments on their own clothes. What remains are empty pockets and an aging innkeeper without cutlery. The wound was enormous, and he took a needle and thread and began, submissively and almost nervously, to design a suitable house body. “Today I'm not me. ”2
Our exhibition contribution is intended as an intro, a best-of, an interactive tour through the Museum BRD - Federal Republic of Germany, through its folklore and its fractures, its high culture and its beer tent poetry.
