Project description

In Love Will Tear Us A Party, a fusion of 19th century cupid initials with 20th and 21st century pop cultural references, Ossian Osborne and August Guccione melt the elements between and beyond longing, intimacy, duality and decay. The lyrics of FKA twigs in her song meta angel capture the emotional world of this exhibition:

Throw it in the fire

Ego in the fire

I've got a love for desire

I've got a pain for desire

(CAPRISONGS, 2022)

On display will be a window work displaying kissing erotes, a typographic animation that responds to the lyrics of FKA twigs' album, and a soundscape that fills the installation with an auditory reflection of the themes. In addition, the special performance "Never-Never Land" by Jonah Martensen will take place on 11 July as part of the performance series accompanying the exhibition. The 11m3 project space will be staged as a meeting place for a whole day. To summarise what will be shown is:
