Project description

Something’s brewing inside me. It’s bubbling up.
Throat’s heating up.
Hot acid rises.
It penetrates my mouth.
It carves into my mucosa. It carves into my tongue.
I choke it all up, belch loudly.
I bend over, open my mouth, my insides leak out.
My inside presents itself in a gush on the table in front of me.
Acid seeps into the wood.
It settles in the crevices.
It stinks as the wood corrodes.
I puked and it may even destroy the table.


Drawing inspiration from the rebellious spirit of performance art pioneers, we want to explore the radicality of placing our own bodies in space and time and investigate their sociopolitical implications. Performance will be our medium to point the finger, stick it down the metaphorical throat and create a disruptive and deconstructive reflux. The disgorged we will reassemble into new potentials.
