Project description
Seestadt Aspern is an urban development project in Vienna, Austria. It is one of the largest urban development projects in Europe. The aim of the project is to create a sustainable, modern city based on the principles of social, economic and ecological sustainability. In coordination with Wien 3420 aspern development AG, various plots of land were identified as conceptual and analytical interventions that can be the preliminary stage of urban designs.
The needs of all stakeholders were taken into account in order to create a harmonious link between the economic benefits of the sites and the quality of life of the residents. Access, infrastructure, environmental impacts, architecture, and landscaping were all considered. The design for interactions was designed to meet both the functional and aesthetic requirements of the surrounding area. In addition, renewable energy opportunities and the use of efficiency and sustainability technologies were considered.
