Project description
The seminar "Spielregeln des Designs" (Game Rules of Design), led by Dr. Johannes Lang, set itself the task of discovering playful interaction potential by closely observing and exploring a self-selected sensory phenomenon and developing it further into playable rule-based design concepts. Instead of giving an already existing idea of interaction the appropriate design, the challenge lay in the opposite direction, namely to systematically create new game mechanics and game rules from the inherent logic of sensory phenomena. Acoustic phenomena, colored shadows, the light traces of long-term exposures, the phenomenon of phosphorescence, collecting, statics and time perception became the starting point of the playable design concepts.
The participants of the seminar invite you to test the results of this development process either outdoors in the light (outside M18) or indoors in the dark (inside M18).
