Project description

The Lyonel Art Prize is awarded as part of the annual exhibition at the Bauhaus University in Weimar. The prize is awarded to graduates supervised by one of the professorships of the fine art department.

The fine art department in cooperation with marke.6 is pleased to open the "Lyonel Art Prize" exhibition on July 14, 2023, 5-8 p.m. with works by Felix Deiters, Coretta Klaue and Suna Mathilde Yoo.

The three participating artists were selected by a jury consisting of Silke Hohmann (editor / Monopol - Magazine für Kunst und Leben, Berlin), Caryl* Ivrisse-Crochemar (gallerist and curator / Espace D'art Contemporain 14N 61W, Martinique) and Magdalena Mai (curator / KINDL – Center for Contemporary Art Berlin) for the shortlist.

The exhibition opens on Friday, July 14 from 5 to 8 p.m.

The award ceremony will take place on Friday, July 14 at 6 p.m.
