Project description
The depletion of the earth's resources for the rest of the year is approaching every year, especially in Western Europe already in spring. A future-oriented country must therefore pay more attention to circular justice in materials and building techniques. Sustainable materials such as wood, straw and clay can have a positive effect.
In this semester project, six sections of an experimental campus site called NEXT GENERATION PARK were each designed by a group of students against this background. The sections were to be constructed exclusively of sustainable materials or their hybrid combination and be future-oriented. Each section has its own programmatic title: Woodland, Strawland, Clayland, Recycledland, or Hightechland.
Experimental application of AI-based tools for research, description, design, and planning was explicitly welcome.
In the companion seminar "Breaking News goes AI," groups were asked to develop a contemporary media presence. In the second accompanying seminar "Additive Manufacturing" (Experimental Workshops of Architecture), digital fabrication methods were tested on a model scale.
