Project description

From 2017 to 2021 within the project 'Born to be Bauhaus' artworks have been annually selected by a jury. These artworks have been acquired by the Modernist Archives for the art collection of the Bauhaus-University Weimar. The awardees exhibit their artworks supported among others by the 'Freundeskreis der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar e.V.' in the year of the selection. The awardees 2021 are the performance artist 'Denise Blickhan' and the collective 'bauhaus.fm-rundfunkorchester'.

In the following years (2022-2023) the Project Born to be Bauhaus takes the 100 year anniversary of the 'Bauhausausstellung 1923' as an occasion to create an exhibition project with all awardees involved since 2017.
