Project description

In ecology, a merotope, also called a small biotope, describes a small section of a biotope with a special community due to its special structure. Like us as a university community in the context of the city.

The restrictions caused by the corona have shown us and let us feel first-hand how important interpersonal interaction, communication, community, exchange, art, culture is, but simply knowing that there are opportunities and places for it. And above all, that you yourself are an essential part of community and you need interaction in order to inspire and develop each other.
The basis for this is the confidence to be seen and perceived in one's needs and desires. From this offer, a self-image develops to see others in their needs, to respect them and to create spaces for interaction.

Campus can also embody this attitude to life and mutually shape the future through the experiences gained here and through their actors.

How can the place where we work, learn and teach, embody exactly that and become an inspiring melting pot for everyone who comes in contact with it?

Based on the question of the changeability of the location, we created a temporary spatial sculpture that emerged from the conditions of the location - a kind of intermediate zone between Ilmpark and the university - and the relationship between human bodies - building structures as dimensions when designing in real space is. We have visualized this thought and creation process in our head cinema and create space for those interested to be inspired by these individual steps.
