Project description
Us in Türkiye -self-representation in completely incongruous contexts.
A series of photographs was created during a journey through Turkey in winter. The series features deliberate staging (classic menswear, vintage car, …) in contexts that appear completely incongruous (roadsides, scrap yards, mountains, …).
The work plays with the creation of an image that has nothing to do with the actual nature of the journey minimal costs: sleeping in the car, packet soups, etc.
This contrast becomes apparent in the images upon closer inspection.
