Project description
The Free Project is for students the opportunity to further develop their own design direction. It serves both as preparation for the final thesis and as a chance to initiate and lead a project independently. The semester is shaped by self-directed research, experimentation, and the pursuit of individual insights.
This semester, the studio was filled with explorations in textile 3D printing, flax fibers and biomaterials, as well as woven spruce wood veneer. The resulting projects demonstrate a wide range of approaches and outcomes, each investigating its own questions and generating valuable findings. Together, they highlight the potential of experimental design research and independent creative development.
