Project description

Unnameable: Voices, Radios, Loudspeakers, Pluriphonic Synthetic Sound, Movement extends the public presentation from the !RRATIONALE week. If that work asked how a number sounds, this one asks how a number is inhabited: not only sonified, but voiced, transmitted, received, and moved through space.

The event unfolds in two parts, both broadcast via bauhaus.fm. It opens as an intervention in public space, a continuation of our earlier procession under a wider umbrella: sound, voice, transmission, listening, space, and movement. The campus and its thresholds become an acoustic field, listening becomes a public act, and the boundaries between site, body, and signal are made audible.

It culminates in a concert: a rave-ification of mathematics. Numbers and sequences (π, e, √2, φ, and more), endless and unnameable, are rendered across a distributed loudspeaker field in pluriphony, treating the listening space itself as a compositional instrument rather than a neutral container for playback.
