Project description
e-scapes presents a collective archival publication and a series of individual zines developed through a specialist module exploring zine-making and self-publishing as both an artistic practice and a mode of research.
The exhibited works emerge from individual and collective engagements with human and non-human relations, attending to questions of entanglement, embodiment, extraction, and care. Through subjective experiences, intuitive methods, and alternative forms of knowledge production, participants explore how we perceive, represent, and interact with the environments we inhabit.
Working across artistic and research-based disciplines, students approached ecological observation through diverse visual, conceptual, and artistic methods. Their contributions come together in a collective publication that reflects multiple ways of knowing and relating to their surroundings.
