Project description

STRÖMUNGEN transforms the campus during Summaery 2026 into a dynamic sound environment that enables critical listening, participatory engagement, and speculative visions of the future. Just as water and electrical currents shape their surroundings and social currents drive change, STRÖMUNGEN explores sound as a fluid, time-based medium that connects past and present, local and global.

 

Across a wide range of formats — choral concerts, interventions in public space, a 59-hour radio show with a live studio in front of M18, exhibitions, and performances in the Limona and in the basement of M5 — diverse projects from the sound department explore the intersections of sound, ecology, political resistance, and digital cultures.
