Project description
The Fach-Modul »Lines and Structures« focuses on the principle of design by fabrication. In this case the CNC-mill is used as a design and fabrication tool at once. Tool paths are understood as lines that directly influence material, surface and form. By consciously working with path strategies, material logic and machine limitations, students develop a deep understanding of the interaction between digital design, the manufacturing process and the physical object.
