Project description
The posters showcase projects and completed special projects by students on the NHRE Master’s programme. The specific challenges arise from complex engineering tasks in the fields of planning, construction and implementation of structures affected by, among other things, earthquakes,
wind and flooding. By integrating research and practice, and conducting site- or structure-specific risk analyses using modern tools to assess the hazards posed by natural disasters and risks, the students address a wide variety of challenges. Posters will be presented on the topics »Building Exposure, Vulnerability and Loss Prediction (EXVAL) – Multi-regional Assessment of Construction Typologies: Case Study Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic« and »Dual-Hazard Vulnerability Analysis of Flood-Earthquake Overlapped Areas in Myanmar«.
