Project description
As part of the Bauhaus.Module »En_countering the manosphere,« the seminar group has spent the semester examining phenomena such as incels, looksmaxxing, and other digital manifestations of toxic masculinity.
For summaery, the seminar invites participants to a presentation of the play »Das Cowboy Seminar« by blue tits production from Dresden.
The Cowboy Seminar is a play about alpha male coaching, followed by a post-performance discussion with the audience on the topic of toxic masculinity and men as a group affected by patriarchal structures.
In 65 minutes, Coach »Privilege« shows the audience everything there is to do and know, pushing himself to his own limits in the process. Is it even possible to do justice to patriarchy? And do we want to?
Students will lead the event, including the post-performance discussion, with the participation of an expert in men’s work from the region.
