Project description

This module marks the transition to project-based work: Second-semester students encounter a more comprehensive design process for the first time—one that is iterative, exploratory, and strategic. In two sequential projects, teams develop door handles and coat hooks for their workspace and outdoor furniture for the university grounds (the courtyard behind the Van de Velde Building) based on the existing infrastructure.

Digital design in Rhino 3D, material-driven design (Design by Fabrication), and serial scalability form the methodological guidelines. Physical models are presented during the summaery.

The opening of the exhibition is Thursday 9th of July at 6pm.

Vernissage »Anschluss« Anschluss

Vernissage des Projekts »Anschluss«: Die Zweitsemesterstudierenden im Produktdesign haben in zwei aufeinander aufbauenden Projekten in Teams Türklinken und Kleiderhaken für ihren Arbeitsraum und Möbel für den Außenbereich der Universität (Innenhof hinter dem Van-de-Velde-Bau) auf Basis bestehender Infrastruktur entwickelt.
