Project description
One semester, [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] episodes: The DATA-MIRAGe project [ 1 ] tears information from its native context, reassembles the fragments, and observes the unpredictable, collaged results with a sense of sharp curiosity. Providing an analog counterweight is the Slow Design workshop [ 2 ], led by Professor Ingo Offermanns (HFBK Hamburg). Here, the translation of iconic posters through brush, paint, and paper celebrates the physical world. A meditation on material resistance, and both the profound potential and stubborn limitations of the human body. The Graphic Design class operates with this same analog friction in a third workshop, which treats unprinted paper as both form and substance, testing the structural qualities and conceptual boundaries of the fold [ 3 ].
