Project description
What do artistic projects leave behind and how to provide care for their sustainable afterlife?
From large-scale exhibitions like Manifesta and the Venice Biennale to the inner workings of socially engaged collectives, the role of grassroots initiatives, material reuse in artistic production, or sustainable gazes and archival methods — the students of the Bauhaus.Module investigate the lingering impact of diverse artistic practices. In collaboration with professionals from across the art world, they reflect on the aftermath of art-making beyond its public display.
Through qualitative research and semi-structured interviews, the student researchers explore methods and ideas of care as a foundation for future artistic and curatorial work that is more conscious of lasting dynamics and impacts. Their findings take shape in interdisciplinary video essays, to be presented during Summaery2025 in Kiosk.6, contributing to the evolving project "Biennial of Care" within the thematic framework "Beyond Now – Environments".
Join us on Friday, 11.07 at 15:00 for a public screening and Q&A with the students, where they will share insights into their research and practices.
