Project description
Beneath the trees between the Main Building and the Campus.Office stands a walk-on giant chessboard; nearby, standard boards under the canopy invite blitz and training games. The University Sports chess course and the student club “ChessMates” (Wednesdays, 7 p.m., M18) present fundamentals, variations, and tactical motifs. Open to all skill levels, including children and young people. Boards and pieces are provided. The project shows how the centuries-old “royal game” fosters exchange and concentration in its analogue form.
