Project description
The seminar "Housing – Between Space and Routine" combined intensive text reading with the continuous visualisation of content. In collaboration with London-based illustrator Chester Holme, we explored housing as a key issue of our time: rising rents, housing shortages, social segregation and loneliness are shaping current debates. Yet housing doesn’t end at our front door – our living environment shapes how we live together, encounter others, and organise everyday life. Through selected readings, we discussed how architecture and urban design influence our daily life. The students captured their insights in sketches while practising the translation of complex content into visual form. The result of our process is a collective illustration that will be shown during the exhibition.
