Project description

In the course Brochures, book blocks were created using various techniques and combined with a wide range of covers to produce different types of brochures. The Japanese binding and the kettle stitch offered great creative freedom. The book blocks were complemented by covers with or without flaps, some including dust jackets. This resulted step by step in different brochure types, such as the single-section sewn brochure (Einlagenbroschur), Swiss binding (Schweizer Broschur), English and French bindings (Englische Broschur and Französische Broschur), and finally the case-bound stiff cover brochure (Steifbroschur) with or without covered boards.
