Project description
The course ”Objectophilia” deals with the detailed examination of objects and their characteristics trough craftsmanship. In this context, craftsmanship primarily means working in digital craftsmanship, which may lead to a transfer to analog craftsmanship. The students examined objects, surfaces, mechanics and tactility of objects in various ways. Surfaces and objects had been scanned, imitated, modeled, enlarged in scale, abstracted and placed in a new context using various processing methods. The aim is to explore digital craftsmanship and embed it in a physical context. The focus is on examining the object.
