Project description
Bamboo offers impressive structural properties and combines aesthetic beauty with ecological responsibility. In bamboo architecture, tradition and modernity come together harmoniously. However, several research gaps need to be addressed in order to use bamboo in construction in Europe in the future. Many students of the Faculty of Environmental and Civil Engineering have been working on this over the past 1.5 years. To showcase their work, a traditionally constructed bamboo scaffold will be exhibited as part of the Science Mile, displaying student projects in the context of bamboo construction from the Faculty on posters.
