Project description
Together we set out to explore the elusive landscape of numbers, tables and archives surrounding us. Data today is information, connection, material, product, story and noise. Scouting, marking and mapping the undergrowth of the reality that lies just beyond our physical reach. Always on the lookout for hidden patterns and critical perspectives. On our individual paths we strayed from the narrative of a singular truth and considered the collectors and the collections as interconnected nodes of the Datasphere. Every set has it’s vision and it’s blind spots. We present the personal translations, positions and connections we found on our expedition of these ever growing libraries we are all part of. The exhibition D∀TAD∀TAD∀TA presents an engaging exploration into the potential of data as an artistic material. The projects reveal, critique and display selected Data in physical and virtual form. D∀TAD∀TAD∀TA thus presents the beauty and complexity of our interconnected world through the lens of data.
