Project description
The concept will be realized as part of a public outreach funding initiative, creating an "attractive, experiential home for an interdisciplinary research cluster." Students and scientists from architecture and civil engineering will address the challenges of sustainable construction with innovative materials such as straw, clay, and wood. The design's core idea is a platonic solid with congruent faces, edges, and nodes. The facade elements are designed to be filled with experimental materials, both physically and digitally, as well as information panels, while transparent areas provide deeper insights into the interior of the lab.
