Rethinking Digital Heritage

Ohne Zweifel, die Digitalisierung durchdringt nahezu sämtliche Bereiche unseres Lebens und verändert zunehmend die gebaute Umwelt. Worin liegen die wesentlichen Potenziale einer Verzahnung von „Digitalisierung“ und „Heritage“? Mit der Debatte „Rethinking Digital Heritage“ soll die hierzu notwendige Diskussion geführt und gemeinsam mit wichtigen Vertreter*innen auf eine breitere – und vor allen: disziplinübergreifende – Basis gestellt werden.

Im Rahmen der »einBlick«-Vortragsreihe erläutert Martin Elze vom Buro Happold, wie das Bauprojekt konstruiert und designt wurde, um den CO2-Fußabdruck des Gebäudes zu reduzieren. Dr. Dagmar Pelger will open with an introduction of mapping tools in architecture and urban planning as a means of analysis, conceptualization, and communication. Then, we will proceed to do a mapping exercise of the area around the Main Building of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, focusing on space and inclusion by tracing existing barriers on our campus. We will not just look at physical barriers for people with disabilities, but also at social and spatial barriers in the campus community.
