Information for employees on the city of Weimar’s general ruling of 13 March 2020

Dear colleagues,

Today, Friday 13 March 2020, the city of Weimar has issued a general ruling that also affects the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Classroom-based teaching will be suspended immediately.

The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar’s normal operations will fundamentally continue for all members of staff until further notice.

Schools and childcare facilities will also be closed in line with the city's ruling. If you have been affected by this, we will work with you to find a solution. Corresponding information will be available on our website as soon as possible.

For Monday 16 March, please clarify with your supervisor what solutions are being offered; reasonable regulations will be issued. Working from home to prevent the spread of the coronavirus will be agreed directly between each employee and their supervisor (in writing by e-mail). Any questions that may arise can also be discussed with your supervisor.
