»Medientage Mitteldeutschland« – Networking Meeting for the Media Industry in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia
On 17 and 18 April, student from the Medienmanagement (Media Management) Master’s degree programme took part in the »Medientage Mitteldeutschland« (central Germany media days) in Leipzig as part of the »MTM-Pioneers« young talent programme. Together with Prof. Dr. Jutta Emes (Professorship of Marketing and Media), Jr. Prof. Dr. Jürgen Rösch and Maxi Rauch (scientific employee in the Junior Professorship of Digital Economies), and Dr. Gianna Ehrlich (Deputy Director of the Junior Professorship for Organisation and Networked Media) attended the exciting panel discussions on topics such as AI, fake news and public broadcasting on both days of the event.
Bauhaus-Universität Weimar students, together with Communication Science Bachelor degree students and Dr. Marcus Seifert from the University of Erfurt, met SWR Director General and ARD Chair Prof. Dr. Kai Gniffke in a Q&A session. The Q&A session focussed on such topics as updating programmes, digital platform strategies, and employment and career opportunities at public broadcasters.
In addition to students, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar alumni were also present at booths and panel discussions at the industry event, including the three founders of FUNKHAUS OST Rafael Jové, Maximilian Netter and Mario Weise, as well as Marcel Lenz, owner of the Ostlicht Filmproduktion and board member of the Produzent*innenverbands e. V.
