Around €500,000 in funding for »KoopWohl« research project for participation and public welfare

On 6 January 2020, a three-person project team from the Institute for European Urban Studies (IfEU) at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar began working on the »Urban Co-Production of Social Rights and Public Welfare« research project. Scheduled to run until the end of 2022, the collaborative project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) will focus on negotiations between local civil society stakeholders and municipal authorities. It is being conducted in cooperation with the Leibniz Institute for Research on Society and Space (IRS) based in Erkner.

Serjoscha Düring ist für seine Masterthesis »Between Plan and Reality: Tracing the Develop Dynamics of the Lanzhou New Area« mit dem Preis »Auf IT gebaut – Bauberufe mit Zukunft« 2020 ausgezeichnet worden. Der Preis wird auf dem Fachkongress »bautec« am 19. Februar 2020 in München verliehen.

»About the Normativity of the Digital« – evening lecture and workshop with Bauhaus visiting professor Prof. Dr. Judith Simon

As part of her Bauhaus visiting professorship for the winter semester 2019/20, the philosopher Prof. Dr. Judith Simon will give an evening lecture at 6 pm on Wednesday, 29 January 2020 in the Oberlichtsaal in the Main Building on the topic of »Do the Algorithms Decide Now? About the Normativity of the Digital«. On Thursday, 30 January 2020, a workshop will then be held on the subject from 10 am to 1 pm. This will take place in the IKKM Lounge of the University Library at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (Steubenstraße 6, Weimar). All interested parties are warmly invited to attend.

Antrittsvorlesung von Andreas Garkisch als Professor für Entwerfen und StadtArchitektur

Am 29. Januar 2020, 19:00 Uhr, lädt Andreas Garkisch zur Antrittsvorlesung in das Audimax ein. Nachdem Prof. Garkisch seit 1. April 2019 die Vertretungsprofessur für Entwerfen und StadtArchitektur an der Fakultät Architektur und Urbanistik innehatte, wurde er zum Wintersemester 2019/20 als ordentlicher Professor für Entwerfen und StadtArchitektur berufen.

Ausstellung und Symposium: Ideen für den Zschochernplatz Gera | Placemaking

Am 23. Januar 2020 findet im Foyer des Rathaussaales in Gera eine Präsentation zu Gestaltungsideen für den Zschochernplatz statt. Am 24. Januar lädt das bauhaus.ifex zum Symposium »Revitalizing Cities through Placemaking« in englischer Sprache in den Oberlichtsaal ein.

Einladung: Vom Campus in die Stadt – Bauhaus.Pop-Up Space startet mit Vernissage

Am Freitag, 24. Januar 2020, 16 Uhr, laden die Wirtschaftsförderung der Stadt Weimar, die Weimarer Wohnstätte und die Gründerwerkstatt neudeli der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar zur Eröffnung des Bauhaus.Pop-Up Space in die Marktstraße 16 ein. Den Auftakt zum Bauhaus.Pop-Up Space bildet die Vernissage zur Ausstellung »Symbiosis« der Diplom-Künstlerin Leilasadat Mohsenpour. Vier Wochen lang werden 15 Zeichnungen der Bauhaus-Alumna im Ladengeschäft in der Weimarer Altstadt zu sehen sein.
