How do we want to live in the future? How can we make our lives more sustainable, socially just and liveable? The European Union has called for the consideration of just these questions together with attendees of the festival taking place in June as part of its New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative. As an official partner of the NEB, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar will host an »Ideenlabor« on Friday, 10 June 2022, and invites all interested parties to come discuss, inspire and experiment.

This territory is mapped through technical, political and performative exchanges.

From 24 to 26 June 2022, sound theorists and artists will come together at the Faculty of Art and Design at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar for the international conference »I am not sitting in a room - urban, political and social resonances«. Together they will explore urban, political and social spaces on a sonic level in three thematic blocks. The interdisciplinary conference will focus on the question of how our environment would change if we were to shape it based on what we hear.

Die Betonkanu-Regatta 2022 steht vor der Tür, auch die Bauhaus-Universität Weimar mischt wieder mit. Zeit für einen Testlauf! 27 Studierende haben zwei einzigartige Boote aus Beton konzipiert und gestaltet, welche am Mittwoch, 1. Am Mittwoch, 25. Mai 2022, organisiert die Bauhaus-Universität Weimar zum vierten Mal den Tag der Lehre und des Lernens. Einen Nachmittag lang diskutieren und reflektieren Universitätsangehörige Lehr- und Lehrformate ihrer Universität und tauschen sich über aktuelle und zukünftige Entwicklungsvorhaben aus.
Der Tag der Lehre und des Lernens ist mittlerweile eine etablierte Plattform für Diskurse, Einblicke und Experimente rund um Studium, Lernen und Lehren an der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.

Am kommenden Wochenende wird der anlässlich des Bauhaus-Jubiläums 2019 von Studierenden entworfene und gebaute Gropius-Zimmer-Pavillon in Weimars Partnerstadt Trier eröffnet.

Am 9. Juni 2022 lädt die Juniorprofessur »Organisation und vernetzte Medien« zur Tagung »Diversität im Journalismus – Neue Organisationen, neue Chancen?« in die Medienvilla ein. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es, mit Expert*innen aus Wissenschaft und Medienpraxis Neugründungen im Journalismus unter den Gesichtspunkten von Diversität und Gleichstellung zu betrachten. In gemeinsamen Workshops und Vorträgen sollen unterschiedliche Forschungsperspektiven identifiziert und Handlungsempfehlungen für die Praxis entwickelt werden. Zur abschließenden öffentlichen Podiumsdiskussion sind alle Interessierten herzlich in die Medienvilla in der Albrecht-Dürer-Straße 2 eingeladen.
