Project description
What happens to a country when music making is banned there, as has just happened again in Afghanistan? Can music be preserved by emigration? The project module started with this question. During the research and occupation with the topic, women turned out to be the second complex of topics, since they were silenced just like the music.
The students initially realized their project ideas with animation, documentary observations or staged visualizations. These videos formed the basis for the interactive implementation using a modular, cube-based screen. By moving and turning the cubes of this modular screen, the viewers themselves can shape the course of the videos or physically experience their content.
The course is based on a cooperation with Prof. Tiago de Oliveira Pinto from the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt.
