Day of Teaching 2021

On May 26, 2021, the Day of Teaching 2021 offered from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. an online platform for exchange and reflection on the topic of international and digital teaching and learning. In impulse presentations and workshop formats, all members of the university were invited to revisit and discuss the experiences of the past two digital semesters and connect the topics of digitality and internationalization.

The Day of Teaching 2021 was guided by the following questions:  What challenges and boundaries of digital teaching and learning became apparent? How could these be overcome? What unexpected opportunities became possible? What are the advantages of digital teaching regarding internationalization? How can digitality help us to enable teaching and learning across national and institutional borders? In short, what can we learn from the digital semesters?

More detailed information about the program and the events on the Day of Teaching 2021 can be found here.

Student perspectives on the digital semesters

In order to provide a platform for the student perspective on the digital semester on the occasion of the Day of Teaching, we asked students from various disciplines to talk about their experiences in short interviews based on the following questions:

Your online semester in three words? | What was the biggest challenge for you? | Which contents and concepts were proven to be successful throughout the online semester and would be beneficial to be incorporated in the post-COVID-19 education? | What was a surprise for you during the digital semesters? | What was the most uncommon or unique place that you have studied at during the online semester?
