Information for exhibitors

Dear exhibitors,

The annual summaery2021 exhibition will be predominantly digital. Exhibitions in the rooms and on the grounds of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, project presentations and events will also take place online this year. Therefore, use the possibilities of virtual communication and present your work digitally. Shoot a video, create an image gallery, a podcast or a radio programme, create a virtual showroom, use interactive maps, live streams or chats, and much more. 

For many students, the annual summaery exhibition is the conclusion of their project or even their final thesis, and is included in the evaluation of their studies. At the same time, it is a unique opportunity for students to present themselves to the world and open up to a broad audience. Therefore, students are encouraged to consider how to reach summaery2021 visitors with your topic. 

To be successful, please consider the following technical and organisational aspects:

Organise on-site exhibitions (6 July 2021)

Exhibitions and events in Bauhaus-Universität Weimar buildings and on campus are permitted during summaery2021 under the following conditions:

Exhibitors and instructors are responsible for adhering to the regulations.

GENERAL REGULATIONS

OUTDOOR EXHIBITIONS

  • Outdoor weather-proof works/exhibits are permitted.
  • Entrances and exits must be separate and one-way only. If necessary, markings (i.e. floor markings or barrier tape) must be used.
  • Please contact Raika Nebelung (raika.nebelung@uni-weimar.de) regarding using open spaces/outdoor areas on campus.

INDOOR EXHIBITIONS

University buildings remain closed to visitors. The following exceptions apply between the hours of noon and 8 pm:

1. The foyer of the University Library 

  • A contact person must be available during opening hours, e.g. by name and telephone number displayed on the project (TheSum project sign)
  • Entrances and exits must be separate and one-way only. If necessary, markings (i.e. floor markings or barrier tape) must be used.

2. Ateliers that open directly to outside

  • Exhibit supervisor must ensure compliance with regulations
  • Entrances and exits must be separate and one-way only. If necessary, markings (i.e. floor markings or barrier tape) must be used.
  • Doors must remain open

3. Indoor exhibitions that can only be visited as part of an organised guided tour

  • Max. 15 visitors per guided tour
  • Contact tracking: The contacts collected may only be used for follow-up in case of infection. The person responsible for the project keeps them for 4 weeks and destroys them afterwards. »to the contact tracing form (download)
  • Pick-up and drop-off guests in front of the building
  • Ventilate rooms

OUTDOOR EVENTS

INDOOR EVENTS

  • Exclusively for internal university participants
  • Up to a maximum of 30 participants
  • Use contact tracking via the Thoska devices in the rooms

For the use of rooms and outdoor spaces outside the university, the current safety and hygiene regulations for the respective site apply. Please contact the relevant contact persons for use of these spaces.

For the invitation of cooperation partners and guests from outside the university, we provide you with two options in German and English:

1. Template for sending invitations by e-mail

2. Printed invitation card A6 and posters
Invitation cards and posters for this year's summaery are available free of charge in the foyer of the Amalienstraße 13.

Submit your project

Please register your project by 7 July 2021. The portal will remain open afterwards and you can add and change your data at any time with your login.
Registered projects and events will appear in the digital catalogue and programme. This is where you can present your project in German and English and upload or link videos, pictures, documents and other formats. Participation is only possible for projects from the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and their cooperation partners.

Use existing software and tools

At the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar there are already numerous tools and software solutions available with which you can implement your ideas for summaery2021. On the following page we have compiled these for you and provided links to tutorials and the respective contact persons.

Pay attention to security and accessibility

As an exhibitor at summaery2021, you and your supervising academic are responsible for the content, security and compliance with legal regulations when creating and presenting your project.
Which regulations apply to you naturally depends on the type and scope of your project as well as the medium selected for your presentation. However, you should always observe the legal regulations for:

- Copyright and rights of use for text, image and sound documents
- Accessibility
- Privacy

For exhibition projects that are not presented virtually, the current safety and hygiene regulations applicable on site must be observed within the framework of the Corona regulations. A summary for Weimar and the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar can be found on our website on Corona prevention.
In addition, the general regulations on safety management and the house rules of the university apply. The regulations and instructions of the Service Center für Security Management will help you find your way around.
