Project description

This year's Media Art Award for the summaery2020 of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar will take place once again in the gardener‘s house of the Weimarhallenpark as a cooperation between the Professorship of Media Events and EIGENHEIM gallery. All professorships of the Media Art/Media Design program submit the best final thesises of their students of the last two semesters which are compiled into an exhibition within a university course.

This year's jury consists of Prof. Dr. Pia Müller-Tamm (Director of Kunsthalle Karlsruhe); Peggy Schoenegge (Curator, Manager at peer to space) Franciska Zólyom (Direktorin der Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst Leipzig awards the prizes.

The exhibition will be open from July 30th at 4 pm until August 14th from Tuesday to Saturday between 4 and 7 pm. Due to the current situation only 5 people can enter the gallery at the same time. During the time of waiting you can stay in the Weimarhallenpark, talk and reflect on your impressions of the exhibition.

All professorships and teaching areas of media art/media design in the fields of experimental radio, film, interface design or electro-acoustic compositions are shown side by side. The cooperation with EIGENHEIM Weimar also gives zhe student's art works the opportunity to move beyond campus and gain more relevance next to the Bauhaus Museum.
