Project description

LOST & FOUND in Spacetime:
An interactive art intervention between strangers.

Surreal landscape compositions found from satellite imagery in Google Earth reveal “lost and found” beauty that can only be seen when we look at the earth that we live in on a different scale.

Echoing the theme of “lost and found”, visitors are invited to reflect upon the idea of experiences in “losing and finding” – losing and finding themselves, or any other personal experiences – while investigating the “lost and found” scenery in each of the photos. Some things only become visible once one looks from farther away, on a different “scale” or perspective outside of what we are used to.

Then the visitors may choose from the image gallery a card they would like to send to a stranger and write down their own stories of “lost and found” to be sent with the card they choose to a stranger, while at the same time receiving a card from another stranger, bridging another level of “lost and found” connections among random people.

The intervention has taken place at the Tusche Kunst Galerie Weimar;
***DURING THE DAYS OF SUMMAERY 2020, THE INTERVENTION WILL TAKE PLACE AT THEATERPLATZ EVERY DAY STARTING FROM 20:00***
The audience is warmly invited to participate!
